It provides students with insights into various economics fields such as Labor, Health, Education, Climate, Entrepreneurship, and Gender Economics.Students can also gain valuable international study experience through the Double Degree Program with the University of Rennes or by spending a semester abroad at one of the excellent partner universities.This program focuses on developing specialized knowledge and skills for evidence-based policy making. It emphasizes quantitative empirical analysis methods applicable to different economic policy areas at various levels. Students have practical sessions using econometric and statistical software like Stata, R, Matlab, Dynare, and Julia. Real data sets, like the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP), are used for analysis, enabling students to produce quantitative research results.Furthermore, students can now take their academic journey to the next level with the new Double Degree Program in Public Policies, carried out in collaboration with the University of Rennes (France). The Double Degree offers the unique opportunity to study the first year at the University of Potsdam and complete the second year in Rennes — earning two prestigious M.Sc. degrees from both institutions.
