The GeoThermie / GeoEnergie MSc is a joint program by TU Munich (TUM) and FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, focusing on geothermal and geoenergy exploration, exploitation, and storage. Students acquire expertise in geological, engineering, geochemical, economic, and legal aspects of geoenergy, covering seismic interpretation, tectonics, reservoir modeling, geomechanics, hydrochemistry, drilling technologies, energy economics and policy, with strong practical links to Bavarian geothermal installations. Graduates are prepared for roles in energy/resource industries, geotechnical consulting, underground storage, engineering advisory, environment agencies, and research/academia.
