Students develop skills for both the active ingredient phase and production process in pharmaceutical industries, focusing on either pharmaceutical engineering (scale-up, plant planning, production) or pharmaceutical research (preclinical/clinical test pattern, formulation, process development). The individual study plan, determined before enrolment, depends on previous education areas. The curriculum includes compulsory, basic, elective modules, interdisciplinary specialization, and a research-based Master's thesis. The program is aimed at graduates in engineering or pharmacy, lasting four semesters (two years), and awards the professional title “engineer” for pharmaceutical engineering specialization.
