7/15/2026Study contents The Bachelor’s programme prepares you for a teaching career in the fields of theatre, performance and art in action. The study content is structured into modules. The teaching of artistic, subject-specific and subject-didactic contents and methods is closely aligned with the syllabus. The students’ own artistic experimentation, academic reflection and didactic considerations on how to successfully convey and transfer the art forms of theatre and performance into school and extracurricular practice complement each other. Performance and art in action, dance, vocal coaching and working with text are part of the practical training. Theatre history, performance analyses and models of theatre pedagogy form the technical part of the programme. Possibilities of combination Performing Arts can only be studied at TU Braunschweig as part of the Teacher Training Course: Gymnasien. Please note the regulations governing the combination of different subjects mentioned there. Further possible combinations outside the teaching profession can be found on the pages of Braunschweig University of Art .
