1/15/2026The Metrology and Measurement Technology Master is an interdisciplinary programme at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Students gain foundational and advanced skills in mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and chemistry as applied to metrology. Early semesters teach basics (Fundamentals of Metrology, Measurement Data Evaluation, Simulation with Python). Specializations include Sensors and Measuring Principles, Systems Engineering and Signal Processing, and Measuring Methods and Application. Electives allow deeper specialization or complementary skills. Interdisciplinary modules foster additional methodological, social, and language competencies. The program includes a student research project to train scientific and rhetorical skills, culminating in an independent Master's thesis (6 months: written and oral presentation).
