1/15/2026The Bachelor’s programme features a broad education in all areas. It is composed of: the mathematics and economics major the computer-oriented area the interdisciplinary professionalisation area During extensive foundation studies, you will first receive solid basic knowledge in the areas of mathematics, economics and computer-oriented methods. Subsequently, you will get to know economic-mathematical instruments. A special focus is placed on aspects of financial mathematics. Its application is trained in the computer-oriented area. In addition to professional soft skills such as presentation techniques, team and project work, you will also learn the basics of civil law in the professionalisation area. You complete your studies with a Bachelor’s thesis, choosing a topic from the interdisciplinary field of mathematics and economics. With your Bachelor’s degree from TU Braunschweig, you will have acquired methods and specialist skills that will enable you to quickly work your way into a mathematically oriented field of activity and to take on responsible tasks independently.

General Requirement: Most of the courses offered at TU Braunschweig are taught in German. Therefore, when applying for a German-language degree programme, you must submit one of the following German language certificates by the application deadline: TestDaF with at least 4 points in each section of the test telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule DSH 2 Sprachdiplom of the Kultusministerkonferenz (Stufe II) C2-Zertifikat of the Goethe Institute Feststellungsprüfung of the Studienkolleg For non-restricted degree programmes, you only need to prove that you are attending at least a German course at level B2 at the time of application. For enrolment, you must submit one of the above-mentioned German language certificates. Unfortunately, enrolment is not possible without this language certificate!
