1/15/2026The best of both worlds Students of industrial engineering at TU Braunschweig benefit from gaining insights into technology and economics in almost equal proportions. Interdisciplinary studies help you to think outside the box throughout the entire programme. You decide for yourself whether you want to focus more on technology or on economics. From the very first semester, you will learn about both electrical engineering and economics. Simultaneously, you will get to know different approaches and ways of thinking as well as technical languages. You will gain expert knowledge and become capable of solving tasks that require profound expertise from both fields. The areas in which you will be employed in industry and service companies are therefore equally diverse. In the electrical engineering field of study, you will find jobs in particular in the electrotechnical and information technology industry, here especially in the energy industry, but also in the vehicle industry, in mechanical and plant engineering or the software industry as well as in management consultancy and accountancy firms. As a graduate, you are in great demand and will benefit from the high reputation of TU Braunschweig’s degree programme in Industrial and Electrical Engineering. In your studies, you will enjoy the benefits of a joint first year of study across the Faculty’s Bachelor’s degree programmes.
