7/15/2026Interdisciplinary, natural science education In the Bachelor's degree programme in Environmental Sciences, you will receive an interdisciplinary, natural science education that will enable you to understand the processes in nature and the problems caused by human use. You will study the scientific fundamentals in chemistry, mathematics, physics and biology and gain a sound knowledge of special geosystems and the processes that take place within them. With the help of mathematical models, you create computer simulations of these processes and sequences. Using the results from experiments and laboratory investigations, you try to depict and calculate ecological scenarios as realistically as possible. In field internships and your six-week professional internship, you will test your theoretical knowledge, learn to develop, evaluate and implement solutions and gain insights into your future professional fields. Your studies are complemented by the teaching of methodological skills, key qualifications and training in technical subjects.

General Requirement: Most of the courses offered at TU Braunschweig are taught in German. Therefore, when applying for a German-language degree programme, you must submit one of the following German language certificates by the application deadline: TestDaF with at least 4 points in each section of the test telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule DSH 2 Sprachdiplom of the Kultusministerkonferenz (Stufe II) C2-Zertifikat of the Goethe Institute Feststellungsprüfung of the Studienkolleg For non-restricted degree programmes, you only need to prove that you are attending at least a German course at level B2 at the time of application. For enrolment, you must submit one of the above-mentioned German language certificates. Unfortunately, enrolment is not possible without this language certificate!
