In this way, you create your very own profile already in the Bachelor’s programme. The courses in the compulsory and elective areas reflect the broad spectrum of computer science at TU Braunschweig, which includes the following subdomains: algorithmics application security artificial intelligence computer graphics connected and mobile systems information systems integrated systems medical informatics robotics and process informatics software engineering and automotive informatics theoretical computer science reliable system software An optimal start to your studies The degree programme starts with an orientation phase at the beginning of the winter semester. A few weeks before lectures begin, you can take part in the preliminary course in mathematics, which will provide you with the necessary prerequisites for an optimal start to your Bachelor’s studies in computer science. In the first week of lectures, the Dean of Studies will introduce you to the structure of your studies in a welcome event. In addition, you will get to know your future professors during this event and will be assigned your personal mentor, who will be available to you as a contact person throughout your studies. In addition to the theoretical basic knowledge in computer science, your study plan also includes the key qualifications that are necessary for your later professional life. FWe offer a variety of teaching formats such as seminars, projects and internships in which you can learn and develop skills such as analytical and methodological competence, communication and presentation skills, project management and teamwork. At the same time, these courses provide a good insight into professional practice, and you might also be able to establish initial contacts with some of the numerous cooperation partners of the computer science institutes.
