1/15/2026Education based on three pillars to make you fit for the profession Education in the degree programme is built on three pillars, which are equally represented in your studies from the first semester onwards: computer science economics business information systems Here you will first learn the basics, and later you will deepen your knowledge in individual areas. You can choose from a wide range of options in computer science and economics so that you can structure your studies according to your interests. Specialisations in economics: service management finance marketing organisation and management production and logistics law corporate accounting economics Specialisations in computer science: algorithmics information systems communication and multimedia systems medical computer science programming and reactive systems software engineering theoretical computer science distributed systems In business information systems you will gain in-depth knowledge in information management and decision support. Parallel to acquiring technical qualifications, you will train job-related skills in the professionalisation area, so-called soft skills such as presentation techniques or project work. The 3-month Bachelor’s thesis concludes your studies. You will also have the option of writing your Bachelor’s thesis within a company.

General Requirement: Most of the courses offered at TU Braunschweig are taught in German. Therefore, when applying for a German-language degree programme, you must submit one of the following German language certificates by the application deadline: TestDaF with at least 4 points in each section of the test telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule DSH 2 Sprachdiplom of the Kultusministerkonferenz (Stufe II) C2-Zertifikat of the Goethe Institute Feststellungsprüfung of the Studienkolleg For non-restricted degree programmes, you only need to prove that you are attending at least a German course at level B2 at the time of application. For enrolment, you must submit one of the above-mentioned German language certificates. Unfortunately, enrolment is not possible without this language certificate!
