9/1/2025The master's in Quantum Engineering offers an interdisciplinary education between basic natural sciences, especially physics, and application-oriented engineering sciences, especially systems engineering. The course aims at the research, development, and realization of quantum technologies. Students can set individual priorities for a more theoretical, experimental, or applied profile. The students take courses from the core areas of quantum physics and systems engineering and deepen their knowledge in subject-specific electives, seminars, and internships, which can be selected from a wide range of options. The electives serve to further deepen the knowledge, to put it into practice and to acquire interdisciplinary scientific skills, for example in economics modules or language courses. In addition, the students can work as a tutor as part of their studies. A laboratory project with an associated project seminar serves as an introduction to the master's thesis, which is written in close connection with a working group.
