The master's degree program Engineering Geohazards (EGH) at RWTH Aachen University is interdisciplinary, linking natural sciences, engineering, and economics. Students gain a comprehensive geoscientific background to understand and assess natural hazards, their risks to society, and develop engineering protection measures. The program covers both exogenous events (storms, floods) and endogenous hazards (earthquakes, volcanoes). Practical experience and an applied research module (including options at partner companies) are core components. The curriculum spans 4 semesters (120 ECTS), is taught entirely in English, and prepares graduates to help manage natural disaster risks globally.
