7/15/2025The Master's program in Mathematics at KIT is a flexible, research-oriented program allowing students to specialize in algebra & geometry, analysis, applied & numerical mathematics, or stochastics. With no compulsory courses, students tailor their studies by choosing their desired modules in the areas of Mathematical Methods I & II, undertake a supplementary subject from computer science, physics, economics, engineering, or deepen mathematical methods, and pursue a mathematical specialization and seminar. The program culminates in a master's thesis (30 CP) applying scientific methods in a chosen research area. Study is possible in German or English, totaling 120 ECTS over 4 semesters.
