7/15/2026Im Studiengang Angewandte Umweltinformatik und Erdbeobachtung geht es darum, die komplexen Wechselwirkungen zwischen Mensch, Natur und Technik interdisziplinär zu beschreiben, zu verstehen und zu analysieren. Dabei stellt die Angewandte Umweltinformatik eine Brückenfunktion zwischen unterschiedlichen Disziplinen aus dem geo- und umweltwissenschaftlichen Themenbereich dar. Im Studium lernst du bspw. Methoden aus der Angewandten Informatik, Messerverfahren aus den Geowissenschaften, der Geodäsie und Fernerkundung kennen. Gleichzeitig werden dir Grundlagen der Umweltwissenschaften vermittelt. Wichtige Aspekte der Umweltinformatik umfassen daher bspw. Als Basis hierfür ist der Studiengang stark inter- und transdisziplinär ausgerichtet und vermittelt eine solide, breitgefächerte fachbezogene natur- und ingenieurwissenschaftliche Grundausbildung im Bereich der Umweltwissenschaften und Methoden der Erdbeobachtung. Moderne Datenerfassungs- und Auswertemöglichkeiten – u.a. durch die Nutzung von KI-Methoden – großer Datenmengen gehören genauso zum Portfolio wie geostatistische Methoden unter Einbeziehung der räumlichen Beziehungen von Objekten der bebauten und unbebauten Umwelt. Begleitend hierzu werden überfachliche Kompetenzen u.a. zur verantwortungsbewussten und kritischen Einschätzung von Ergebnissen und deren Grundlagen vermittelt. Für das o.g.
