Afterwards you can broadly personalize your studies due to the high number and variety of elective courses. All compulsory and nearly all elective courses are In English. Next to 30 Credit Points (CP) compulsory courses in the first semester, the second and third semester consists of: You write you final thesis (30 CP) In the fourth semester, either with an Institute or outside the university. 36 CP elective courses Nontechnical elective complementary courses (catalogue) (6 CP) Complementary courses business and management (catalogue) (6CP) as well as a student research project planned for the third semester (12 CP), which can also be done outside the university.

However, official proof of sufficient English language skills is only required for the Master's programme in 'Computer Science' and 'Electrical Engineering' until application deadline and in 'International Management and Engineering' until enrolment deadline.]
IELTS/TOEFL: TOEFL: Minimum 577 (PB), 90 (IB), or 22 (revised paper-delivered). Institution code: 8165 (no department code needed). Note: TOEFL ITP and TOEFL Essentials not accepted. IELTS (Academic): Minimum 6.5.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in mechatronics engineering or mechanical engineering and must show a very good previous academic performance as well as sufficient proficiency in English by passing TOEFL with a minimum score of 577 (paper-based) / 90 (internet-based) or IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5. Please note: The TOEFL ITP is not accepted by TUHH. Additionally there are specific requirements for the international Master's program, as can be found here. As can be seen from those requirements, we expect applicants to have e.g. 30 CP worth of courses covering fundamental mathematics - the equivalent of one semester. Additionally, we request profound knowledge in engineering mechanics as well as control theory and fundamentals of mechatronics. here
