7/15/2026The Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science provides a broad and in-depth basic knowledge in the areas of practical computer science (e.g. programming and software engineering), technical computer science (e.g. computer architecture and embedded systems) and theoretical computer science (e.g. automata theory and computability). ? In addition, computer science students can freely choose two subjects from the entire technical offering of the TUHH, thus giving their studies an individual profile. Furthermore, they acquire in-depth knowledge of mathematics. Students acquire a solid understanding of mathematical methods in computer science, how such methods are implemented algorithmically in software and implemented by the hardware of a computer, and how to assess the efficiency of a computing system. Furthermore, they acquire basic knowledge of business administration and non-technical subjects, thus increasing their skills for managing business processes. The Bachelor's program prepares students for subsequent Master's studies and ultimately for a doctorate, so that the Bachelor's program also prepares students for possible careers in research. ? The Computer Science degree program was designed in the context of TUHH's internationalization efforts and is aimed at first-year students who wish to complete part of their studies at the TU in English and in an international environment.
