2/28/2026Why study packaging technology and management? Are you already a packaging specialist and now want to take the step to becoming an expert? The Master's program in "Packaging Technology and Management" is aimed at engineers with a bachelor's or diploma degree in engineering disciplines, preferably in packaging technology or related fields, who want to further qualify for outstanding roles in management and research. To reflect this scientific and economic focus, the name of the program was changed from "Packaging Technology" to "Packaging Technology and Management" in the summer semester of 2023 . Packaging is considered and optimized holistically – across the entire product flow chain. Our graduates later assume independent professional positions in packaging development and consulting, product and production management, sales, application technology, and quality management in medium-sized and large companies, as well as in institutions in senior management positions – up to and including the executive board. To solve the diverse challenges in the packaging sector, industry and trade need competent specialists who are academically qualified and trained with a strong practical focus. This demand hasn't been met for years, which is why you can expect excellent job prospects in the future.
